A certain group of people have been able to turn everything into an industry. Whether that be having a baby or being a victim or your favorite sport, it's all just an industry that can be exploited as women are told they need to do this for marriage or a baby they believe it. Women are very susceptible to this thinking (ie expensive handbags and shoes and makeups and creams) and as long as that is the case we'll have more wanton behavior. Best defense- kill your television and delete Facebook.

A huge chunk of your home mortgage or a brand new luxury car and you wasted that on a single day of feeding your own ego and narcissism. I dont blame you for it though. I blame the man that did not immediately dumping your worthless ass when you demanded this kind of money for something as meaningless as a wedding.

I can't imagine throwing that kind of money away; that's enough to buy a decent new car or make a good down payment on a house. My wedding cost was like $2K.

From the male's perspective, there's plenty of better things to spend 50k on. You could have sex with escorts basically as often as you wanted for several years. You could blow it a week long bender with a high priced escort. You could go to a 3rd world country and have so much sex your balls would be drained.

Moving on from sex you could buy one of a great number of very nice vehicles, a down payment on a very nice house, renovate the majority of your house, a complete home furniture do-over (I think - just doing some napkin math)...

The last thing I ever want to do is spend five figures on an overpriced day-long party. For fuck's sake, you could treat 100 people to a 10 course meal at a Chinese restaurant. I doubt you guys even know 100 people you'd spend 500$ on.
