The warriors aren't gone from modern society, the urge is just sublimated in mostly harmless directions. Undeclared and proxy wars, partisan political bickering, militia groups and extreme shooting enthusiasts are big outlets. Sports are a ritualized form of warfare.

If there's an actual invasion or attack, watch "civilized" men hoist the Jolly Roger.

There's no change in society at all. In every society for all of human existence, you've had 20% warriors/producers/lords and 80% civilians/consumers/plebeians.

Nothing has changed. It is the same today as it was 100 and 1000 years ago.

The only difference is WHO has those titles. Today's lords are the producers not the warriors. Kanye is today's Alexander in many ways. It may sound shitty but it is also the basic truth.

As long as you focus on consumption, you are in the 80%. As long as you put new and shiny and thrilling all on pedestals, you are in the 80%.

I like what you said about "consumption". So you're saying create original thought and ideas = not in the 80?

Kanye is cool but his entire thrust is centered on "Perceived value" than "Actual value". Like Matt McConaughey said Its all smoke and mirrors, its furguzzy, its furgazzi its a woozy its a wazzy...
