Dating is so vividly superficial, when did people become such children? When did they become clumsy and stupid as setting up a relationship?

There is an overwhelming amount of status anxiety in dating that it's ridiculous. From what I already see in my own life and those of my friends, there's so much bullshit in dating. The little traditions, the texts, the expectations, the standards, etc...

These poor women have to go through a field of men just to find something good and their overwhelming options often cause them to be flakey and arrogant. Men also do the most stupid and ridiculous things for attention, they flex when they don't need to flex, they're always pretending to be what they're not, this is also the case with women too. Alas, we're fated to pretend.

"OMG how was your date, Mel?"

"It was just kinda weird, he took me to this show where he knew the band and later they all smoked by the loading dock. It was kinda fun, I guess"

You see, there's not really much going on when people are dating. It's just a series of awkward moments. Perhaps it could be the girls I meet, but from what I noticed, Women have too high of dating standards. That's usually not the case with me and the boys. In any case, Im pretty selective with which girl I'll introduce my grandma to, but my standards aren't high when it comes to giving a bitch some dick. I think its maybe 4 or 5 bottles of beer and Im down. There's also some bud and that can take you on a trip depending on how much you smoke and if you get high enough, you'll honestly do anything.

But this is typical of women, right? The younger and prettier the girl is, the higher the standards, as women go up in age, their arrogance and pretentiousness go down. Where they once dreamed of the sexy playboy with a Mercedes, they now are fine the Joe Schmo with the Volkswagen. This is quite a sad story, isn't it? Or perhaps it is funny one. The pretty girl in high school who thought you were a loser, now acknowledges you and is even down for a date with you. What happened? Time happened. Time passed and with it all of her high hopes.
