This advice has been thrown around here a lot (I have said it in the past), but I think you need to understand this as you move forward.

Keep in mind the following:

Women are the gatekeepers of sex.
Men are the gatekeepers of commitment.

If you want to find a HVM, then you need to be a compliment to his life and be patient during the dating phase. Make sure you are taking care of yourself (regularly) and focusing on self-care. This will help you out when navigating the sexual marketplace to get with a HVM. There is a lot of info that I could share here and go on for days, but I would start with the info that the mods have provided on the sidebar of this sub.

In addition, I would recommend reading the following book, 'The Practical Guide to Men: How to Spot the Hidden Traits of Good Men and Great Relationships', which is written by Dr. Shawn T. Smith (Clinical Psychologist). He shares a lot of valuable info and data around navigating through the different phases, which include the dating, relationship, and marriage phases. Also, with taking your time vetting a partner over the course of months to see whether or not you want to enter into a relationship with them. Good luck!

Making peace with the fact that mother nature is not a feminist.

That there are biological differences between men and women and no amount of mental gymnastics will change the fact.

As a woman, if motherhood is on the cards, you have a ticking time-bomb on your hand, and if fulfilling that part of your existence is a life goal, then it WILL come at the expense of other aspects.

The understanding that you can work hard to achieve ANYTHING, but not EVERYTHING.

Not all women want motherhood and family life, and that is fine. However, MOST will cherish it and will thrive best when nurturing their families.
