What do you guys think is the definition of a simp?

So simps pander to women and donate to them, help them pay bills to hopefully get pussy. But what if a guy donates to women and buy women clothes and pay their bills without hoping to gain anything in return, would that be considered a simp? Or maybe the underlying motivation is less so with pussy but more about a woman's validation or even just one moment of a woman's gratitude? Will that be considered a simp? I see a lot of arguments and denial from guys that go on sites like Twitch donating to women and denying they are simps their responses are often "I am not hoping to get anything in return" or "I'm just genuinely helping out a friend" something like that, and I think we should have a clear definition of what a simp is.
