Written by a black pimp in 1969, this book was probably the first to expose modern pimping to the general audience.

The part I think will especially interest redpillers is Game; how Iceberg keeps his whores in line. Hypergamy is in evidence: it's assumed that if a pimp shows any weakness, his whores will start flocking to a more powerful pimp.

Game is pretty much a 24x7 job:

Any good pimp is his own best company. His inner-life is so rich with cunning and scheming to out-think his whores.

This is Iceberg after passing a shit test in front of his other whores:

In the Hog, until I dropped the last whore off you could have heard a mosquito crapping on the moon. I had tested out for them, solid ice.

And here's Sweet Jones, a pimping god, giving Iceberg some advice:

... a square aint nothing but a pussy. He lets a square bitch pimp on him.

This book makes me think that as early as 1930, perhaps 1900, black pimps had a strong grip on the realities of female behavior.
