What is the meaning of intelligence to you ?

Intelligence is the ability to connect different dots and come up with a conclusion that fits the problem presented. For instance, if you're working in design, you want to come up with something new, using the basic knowledge you have to produce something new.
Same thing for equations in mathematics... It's using what we have and getting something new, the amount of time spent defines how intelligent the person is.

Ability to process in less amount of time. A person with more knowledge tend to be more intelligent as he can apply learning to process problems more quickly.

Intelligence can be easily graded depending on how much one can learn in a limited time, intelligence itself is not wisdom or knowledge simply the ability to become wise or knowledgeable

The ability to process and understand data.

Not to confused with knowledge or wisdom. Knowledge is the data itself. Wisdom is knowing when and how to use it, and when not to.

This more of a side note. There are plenty of good definitions already here.

There are all kinds of smart and most people rarely shine in multiple categories and some are mutually exclusive. I bring it up because some of these don't get enough credit*:

Doing Math Smart.

Getting Laid even though you have none of these other smarts Smart.

Playing Poker Smart.

*Working on Cars Smart.

***Sniper shooting a Somali Pirate on a moving boat from another moving boat smart.

Cutting someone open, taking out the right organ and putting another one in smart.

Already having food, water and toilet paper smart.

Then these fuckers get way too much credit:

Convincing dumb people to do what you want even though you aren't smart smart (politics/mafia).

For me true intelligence is coming from someone who can explain a very complicated thing to me like I'm a 6 year old and I actually make sense of it. IMO those are truly intelligent people. And that goes for women too for that matter.
