I've been here a few times and have a couple of honest, non-critical thoughts regarding the content here in the context of modern society.

I feel as though modern civilization divorces fact from fiction for the sake of being politically correct. I don't share every view conveyed here, to be sure. However, I do notice a "have your cake and eat it too" mentality within society that this sub seeks to curb.

The powers that be (media, government, and financial elites) do not want the common man to see what is of use to him and what is harming him. Believing that we all deserve participation medals, victory laps, and praise because we "did our best" is foolhardy.

My biggest concern is that we are told by many that being weak is an asset. When many women I have known face insurmountable obstacles, I see them quit. Many times this involves a great deal of crying. I NEVER understood this. What the fuck good does that do? Most men too, would give up if the task seemed impossible. This isn't me hating on women. I'm simply asking why we quit so soon, so easily, and so happily? Why don't we demand more of others? Why do we delude ourselves? Why don't we demand more of ourselves?
