If you choose to own any firearms, learn all the safety protocols and be a stickler for adhering to them. I know most of you reading probably already do, but I wanted to say this just in case. There are plenty of web pages and videos online about safety, plus any gun shop should have info. Either be super safety conscious or don't own a gun. That might seem obvious, but there are plenty of people who have been stupid with guns.

To be fair, he or she is right in the sense that your 2nd amendment about owning guns isnt about defending yourself from acorrupt government anymore.

Your government is as corrupt as it can get. And not a single american is using said right to defend himself. Its human nature to be able to adapt to any shitty circumstance as long as it isnt very suddenly (like slowcooking a frog).

Your government has slowly tweaked every little thing around you in your disadvantage and nobody came outside with weapons or guns. They wont all of the sudden ban guns, but they are slowly putting laws in place and letting you acclimate to them, than they will put some more little strict laws and so on and forth.

If your house, or your neighbourghs house gets surrounded by cops to take away guns, will you come out with your guns to defend yourselves? I dont really think alot of people will do, because the triggerhappy cop will shoot you 9 times ,x cops that are around, by the time you even aimed your weapon because they have rudimentary training, nothing to lose and they will claim self defence (look at em shooting up innocent unarmed people out of fear). This will come in the news with some twisted reason as to why you need guns taken away (another little psychological tweak).

I can go on, but i guess you got the gist of what i am trying to say.

Im not against or for guns, just an outside opinion of what ive seen happen through time. Here in europe they are now tweaking the law you cant even own historical demilitarised weapons without a license and no one bat an eye. There was some grumpy muttering, but thats it.

And its not like there was a shooting with that type of weapons. They even are trying to ban private owned historical tanks because it has a cannon...
