What do you guys think of eastern philosophy?

Buddhism gave me a sort of ‘grounding’ in life. I found MGTOW before practicing Buddhism, and while the community here is great, I feel more settled inside with both.

MGTOW = helps keep me from old patterns of seeking mates

Buddhism = helps me understand suffering, and the path to eliminate suffering.

The practice of non-attachment is a valuable spiritual experience. It helps us see and accept reality as it is without overlaying it with our preconceived judgments and expectations of how reality should be.

If we can actually do this, it affords us great freedom. We then begin to understand the concept of "no self." People cling to a false idea of who they are and who other people are (think dating and relationships), which causes ignorance and leads to suffering.

I'm very interested in philosophy and spirituality and I do find some eastern philosophers and spiritual masters quite insightful.

its wonderful and will show you some harsh truths about the physics of God if you get into the nitty gritty. great for calming the mind and having a better understanding of yourself but you will find it difficult to balance with the hectic lifestyle of western society

I have always studied the occult, religion, and philosophy. I dig how every one of them is the same story told in different ways.

Eastern philosophy is static. Static truth, so deep, so true, that is unable to give birth to new truths. Somehow it's a trap, a society may embrace such a belief system and became trapped 1000 years without any advance. In the other hand western people have a magmatic process of mistakes, change, evolution... our mistakes are productive. It's fun, you just can't tell what are we going to believe in 50 years.

You must study it, it of great value, no doubt, but it's not everything.
