huge star wars fan here. i can't recall one scene in the new films that really impressed me on a FX or action choreography level. seems like they should've had the most epic lightsaber fights done with matrix level kung fu awesomeness and sci-fi blasters and explosions with saving private ryan level of intenseness. they had the money. wtf, even though the new films look good, the set pieces and flow of action is so lame and just blah. I mean even the knights of ren did nothing the entire series, like Phasma, like....Snoke...ahh fuck it. i can't get into this. how do you ruin Star Wars. make funny aliens, put in some jabba the hut's and make some fat lady analogies to them, make a few amazing action sequences. movie!

The script for "Duel Of The Fates" leaked (the movie that was pitched to Disney and rejected for The Rise Of Skywalker)and although I haven't read it, it's apparently far superior to what they decided to go with instead. That just goes to show you that agenda pushing was more important than telling a good story.

I watched this movie. Afterwards watched an episode of Mandalorian (the prison ship episode). Holy hell - this movie felt like an awful fan film compared to the Mandalorian.

Cinemas need to adjust pricing. Less expensive treats and tickets. Also less previews and NO adverts. I just paid 25 bucks for a ticket, fuck adverts.

Basically, they got greedy. And now that most movies are shit, the over all experience isn't worth it.

I expect a lot of cinemas will close down over the next few years. Unless they are just fronts for money laundering, which is quite possible.
