From an article about her sentencing after getting caught:

"She was going through a difficult time in her life," McGowan said after the plea. "Her children had grown up and didn't need her any longer. She wasn't getting the attention at home that she needed or wanted, and she was very attracted to Jon Yount. Jon gave her the attention she needed at that point in her life."

This was a great story! Very entertaining. I was so entertained that I did a little googling. It seems she was not murdered but was later caught.
