Start school at a 2 year college, they can help you with your resume and get you some job skills. Try an employment agency. They’ll find you a job for sure, they may be temp at first but if you work hard a company may hire you on permanently.

Expect to start at the low end and work any hours that are available and be happy to do it. Clean yourself up good for when you pick up apps and interview. Get off weed if your on it...... Whatever you get into be your best at it and do more then your responsibilities without being asked so you can start to move up.

When I was 18 years old I was so fucking stressed about getting a job. A shorty job, working at Walmart, I was so scared of jobs interviews. Let me tell you something, it’s all a joke. The job is a joke, the job sucks, they don’t care about you, they just need a shitty person to fill the shift because the last guy left, probably for a better job. So look, whatever shitty job you go for, just know what it is. Behind the smiles, the polite greetings, the handshakes, just know their agenda is to fill the role and if you even do relatively QUALIFY for that position, and you are there at the right time, expect to be hired.

Also, if you are going for a shitty job (Walmart, target, subway, McDonald’s, WHATEVER IT IS) just know anyone working there isn’t very smart. Smart people don’t work at Walmart. So don’t expect them to make smart decisions when dealing with you, or be very intelligent when talking. It’s all a joke. Again, coming from the guy who was so scared a year ago I had my friend pretend to be a job interviewer and ask me questions to prepare. It’s a joke bro, lol.

You can do any shitty job you want given they teach you how to do the job. There’s no “skills” involved with a job like retail or fast food or whatever the hell kind of job you want. Anyone can do it, just show them how in 15 minutes and they can do it.

I’ve done probably like 6 job interviews now. The first one my heart was beating so fast. The last one I rolled into that both blasting 5 finger death punch because I knew it was all a joke. Also if it’s a shitty job just roll up wearing a collared shirt, nothing special. You could even get the job wearing normal clothes, it happens all the time because THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. When you get the job they will treat you like shit after like 2 weeks, Lol.

Most of all bro, I know telling you not to worry isn’t going to help because you can’t really help it, but remember I went through it and I fucking laugh at every loser interviewer working at Walmart who asks me “when have you provided quality customer service to a customer?”

Lol just bullshit they can’t tell if you are lying or not half the time. You could literally make up a fantastic story and at the end of it they will say “that’s really great, very interesting” because they are just playing their part in this little game they are playing too.

You can do any fucking thing you want to do if you want it man. I worked at Walmart my first job, then a warehouse, then a glass manufacturing business. I quit because it was so fucking hard I actually wanted to commit suicide, and I don’t know why I didn’t. Seriously it was so fucking awful. Anyway I’ll be getting a new shitty job in the process while I’m looking to join the Air Force in the next few months, just to pay bills until I get shipped on whenever that comes, if that comes. Best of luck to you, you’re just a younger version of me. Look the stupid motherfucker straight in the eye when you interview and just remember, that idiot isn’t nervous to talk to you so don’t be nervous talking to him, he isn’t anyone special. Best of luck, but you won’t need it if you follow what I say.

PS: if nobody is getting back to you it’s because you have to wait. Wait like 2-4 weeks that about as lot as I would wait and then if you really know a job that you specifically want, call them. Say I would like to talk to a manager and tell them you filled out an application “and would like to know the status of my application” or if “I can get an interview”. If you are super confident go in person and ask if they are hiring, if they like you they might hire you on the spot, or tell you to fill out an application. Then you can say you already did and they will respond saying we will look into it or some bullshit like that. If you are really desperate just go in person and look your best. You will find a job eventually, eventually you will. You’ll know if it’s a shitty job too by how other people act and respond to it. It should be challenging but not too hard. If you dread going to work every day it’s probably a shitty job. If you don’t really mind it’s a good job. If it’s just o.k. Then it’s an alright job. You are going to be naive and don’t let anyone take advantage of you there, there’s a lot of dickheads in shitty jobs man.

I would say skip college for now go get a basic job min wage I say fast food it will show you how fucked up people can be. Do that for a year. For the most part a lot of min wage jobs dont require a resume.

Trade school...local unions. Where are you located, as in what city? Construction unions, if you get in, will pay you better money to start over McDonalds and all that other crap you applied to. You’ll have to attend classes for 3-5 years depending on the trade, but when all said and done you’ll have a job making better that $40/hour in the next few years...

We need to know more to be able to help. What part of the world are you in? America I'm guessing, what sort of community? You don't need to dox yourself, but rural, urban? Coastal? How large is the city?

How about yourself? What is your appearance, how do you dress, have you gotten any interviews?

What technologies are you using to submit job applications? Craigslist, job board aggregators?

Have you written a resume? Assuming a traditional schooling schedule, what have you been doing since spring when you graduated?

Be humble and the value of what you can learn at any job will far outweigh any amount of money you're paid. Some of the most valuable skills I have I learned from scooping ice cream and hawking anti wrinkle creams to old ladies.

If you dont have an education get any job, macdonalds, carrying shit, barista, bartender, shuffler. Youll get much important communication skills and will learn how to deal with coworkers and your boss, aswell as knowledge of what you like and dont like in a work whitch will be really important when you will be choosing your next real job.

Oh and the latter 2 are hard but pay well.

Go to UPS. You’ll have to work part time until you’re 21, then you can sign up to be a driver. If you stick it out, you’ll be able to retire in your early 50s with a full pension. Just expect to earn every dime with a lot of hard physical work.
