Have you guys ever had to ghost your immediate family? They are stuck on a grid of day in and day out with no real goals or philosophies about life, and they totally lack the ability to deeply care about anyone but themselves. I’ve realized my own best friend has an ego so big that he will have to lose everything in order to ever have hope of finding his true self. Through meditation I found true peace and love and I realized 90%+ of people also lack this ability to deeply cherish something. It’s all fast. Fast food, fast love, fast gratification. I never thought “going monk” would mean I am literally, slowly becoming an actual monk. I am giving up all attachments to the physical and seeing them only for what they are: things... tools. Meant to be used for a purpose and discarded. That’s how most people treat people, yet they flock to Gucci and Game of Thrones and actually identify with those things. Video games and vagina. I realized recently that my own sister greets the fucking dog before (if at all) she greets me. Just show up to church on Sunday once a month and we all believe we’re good people. Where’s the honesty? Can someone hit me with a truth bomb, what am I missing? I know the problem here, it’s greed, it’s just hard for me to accept, because I keep wanting to think there’s an end to it but there never is. We kill ourselves with it every time. We are deeply morally bankrupt and it hurts me. I practice stoicism but it still hurts knowing the ones I was born and raised with are simply growing up and living and passing like cattle on a farm instead of testing their limits and imaginations and finding true lucidity. Physically and spiritually. I just finished a chest workout and I feel like I could fly, and I just wish more people sought this instead of telling themselves their Yeezy’s make them a better person or being an asshole to strangers for a fleeting feeling of superiority. In my journey I have found that I need to get away from people to get closer to God/spirituality.
