Holy fuck bois, let this be a lesson in why we must all strive to lift our selves out of poverty first and foremost before we can every truely go own on way.

I have been renting a room in vancouver for 7 months now for $1025 a month from a 60 year old Iranian woman, she along with 2 others live in the house.

A few months back she made it clear she goes in my room without notice (commented on a half drank wine bottle i had in my room that she does not allow, despite the fact that she drinks.) so eventually i change rooms last month to a nicer one, and theres only one key so im suposed to get an extra cut for her, i stall, i make excuses, because i dont want this cunt having access to my room. Ontop of this shes overbearing an harasses me constantly about tiny shit like literally if a leaf is in the foyer, where all the shoes go, i will get a text, i receive one of these roughly every 3 fucking days. So on wedsday shes yelling in my ear about the key, very agressively, i opt to tune her out as if shes not there and continue to head to the shower. I enter the bathroom and begin closing the door and she pushers it open into me with all her force, effectively assaulting me (if i had been a woman id have screamed bloody murder as if id just been shot type of force). So i tell her she just assaulted me, and to de escalate ill go get the fucking key cut after my shower, and i do. The next day i find a new place, inform her due to the assault ill be moving out immediately and i want my deposit back. She refuses, so i tell her im informing the police of what happened (to build a record for me having to sue her for my deposit), she calls my bluff and tells me to call them, she has lots to tell them about me too, AND WILL CALL MY WORK (vaugue threat that completely forced my hand to involve them).

They tell me i can charge her for the assault but due to no witnesses it wont result in conviction, but they will talk to her. So today im trying to move out but inform her i will be contacting the CRA (tax people) to report her always charging rent in cash so i dont believe she pays her taxes. and she once again threatens me only this time claiming ive assaulted her, and she has witnesses. (If she does its literary family member's that she coerced to lie for her cause ive never touched her). I spoke to a lawyer and he says because i reported first and have texts and theres never any mention of me assaulting her despite tons of communication from her, and also the fact that if i assaulted her why would i be the one who wanted to move, why was i allowed to stay all this time, and if there were witnesses in the past why did they not report me having had more concrete “evidence” than even i do. Shes a certifiable cunt and would rather falsely accuse me of a crime after she committed one against me rather than let me “win” and give me my fucking money.

Following up with the officer who spoke to her tonight at 7, wish me luck.
