I live in Mexico, and many sectors of society, particularly the rural areas are still very patriarchal. There are a lot of trash men out there who can and have taken advantage of women, particularly young women who are out late by themselves.

This causes the women's rights marches and protests to get more visibility and unfortunately creates the warped view that man are most of the time the aggressors and they never suffer. Radical feminists are all on board with this and keep yelling "men are trash" and they get heard.

There should be a Day for the Elimination of Violence. Period. Crying equality but keeping men and women separate helps no one.

Regardless of how many stupid feminist statistics he pulled out, I duckduckgo'd things in front of him and most studies we found conclude that the ration was 70/30, while men being less likely to report simply because the physical assault from an unarmed woman can't really hurt most men so they let it slide + there's a huge portion of violence against men by other men in the name of a woman.
