The first point is to help people wade through bullshit in case of overwhelming bluepill/whiteknight response.

As for removing the downvote option, I personally would prefer it remain. It serves a necessary function. I understand it can be abused, but it always struck me as a necessary reddit feature.

In all honesty I view this sub as a place Alphas can come to relax a bit. I don't think you need to be Alpha all the time. Certainly not here. The benefits of the Endorsed Contributors flair are great. It helps find true RedPill ideas and responses in an increasing amount of WhiteNight bullshit. This sub is already starting to get it's fair share of downvote brigades that make it hard to find helpful information.

The removal of the downvote button is another way of combating the would be nay-sayers to our collective ideology. If you don't like it uncheck the Use Subreddit Style of the top of the sidebar.

I think these changes are well intended and implemented with the sub's health and growth in mind. If these changes start to have negative impact I'm sure things will be fixed.

Removing the downvote button: Think of the other subreddits with this "feature". Do we really want to be like them?
