To be absolutely fair, when I got divorced I got custody of my kids and only 1 gf of mine gave me a difficult time about my kids being in our lives. The rest accepted them. That one, though, she kept finding ways to argue with me saying my kids should move in with their mother. I lost it one night and told her maybe she should do the same and get rid of her 3 year old daughter...like she said..."for us".

You never saw such angry crying about how cruel and heartless I was for suggesting she reject her kid who she loves, meanwhile I was expected to do just that with mine. Double standard. She lost.

They tolerate, but they remind you (1st-hand experience) that you're not their child (abdicating responsibility when a parent should have stepped in and done something).

I have seen several, but the guys were exceptionally "alpha". So as long as the woman thought the man was high value, she treated the children well.
