I became MGTOW many years ago before I knew MGTOW existed. The usual horror stories of women lying, cheating and false accusations that force a man to walk away from society and societies expectations, and find his own path to walk.

I've always been interested in monks, particularly the Catholic monastic life. Men who take vows of poverty, obedience and celibacy to live a life of prayer and contemplation. I had been Catholic for a while, and always dreamed of such a life. I decided to seek out a lay order, and found myself enrolled on the Brown Scapular.

For those not familiar, the Brown Scapular is a piece of cloth worn by the monastics. Lay people can be enrolled into the Brown Scapular as a 3rd order, and wear a small discreet wool scapular around the neck (under my t-shirt in my case).

As part of this life, my routine consists of:

i) Morning prayers from the Little Office of the Virgin Mary.

ii) Midday prayers from the Little Office of the Virgin Mary.

iii) Evening prayers consisting of a full Rosary, followed by the evening prayers from the Little Office of the Virgin Mary.

I have found that being in continual prayer helps me to keep my mind away from foolish distractions (such as women) and instead focus on my own inner peace, the contemplation of scripture, and closeness to God.

This life also allows me to devote my spare time to studying the great Church writers such as St Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Francis of Assisi etc.

I owe this life to MGTOW, and i'm grateful for the women who hurt me and drove me to a life of solitude and prayer. By day I work as a Software Developer, I work from home which affords me the freedom from office distractions (such as woman). I earn a lot of money, and live comfortably in my own home, but I don't have any attachment to my wealth, it's just a consequence of doing a job I love doing.

When I go out in public I am the grey man. I dress down in an old green army style jacket, hoodie and jeans. Nobody knows I'm a high earning Software Developer, nobody knows I life a monks life every day.

If there are any men going through sufferings because of a woman, then try to be reassured that one day you will be grateful and thank them for teaching you the true ways of the world, the true ways of women, the true ways of a society that expects you to be expendable for the sake of a woman who will never love you the way you loved her.

I'd be interested to talk to other men who's life took a similar path to enlightenment: from women trying to destroy you, to finding religious and spiritual freedom.
