It is literally a new roman end-time, having read trough "The Fall of Rome" the parallels are scary.

A new religious cult with vastly different values taking over society, trade deficits, inflation, getting rid of merit based advancement systems in military and bureaucracy, over bloated welfare state, too high taxes to pay for "bread and circus", barbarians at the borders, ...... across the "western world"

And then we got 1000 years of medieval darkness.

Except the romans did not leave behind 400+ nuclear power plants (+ waste), thousands of warheads, labs with nasty B and C graded weapon developments, ....

MGTOW is just an reaction, as there were at the end of Rome.

I think a lot of companies that cater to people buying useless junk that breaks easily and can't be fixed are going to go bankrupt.

I think it will bring in a new generation of people buying more reliable and repairable things. Because men are far more likely than women to repair something than throw it out and buy a new one. Also, men are far more likely to buy a product that lasts 100 years vs. one that lasts a few years.

Hopefully this new generation will once again have phones with replaceable batteries and snap-on upgrades. I've always wanted a phone with upgradable CPU and RAM, just like a PC has. I'm sure somebody is going to make it and men are going to buy it.

They’ll have to be more loyal Honest women like there were 140 years ago. Families used to have kids to work on farms to survive and possibly sell there kids for money in really hard times. Men had power over women in those days. Not saying it is right but it worked. Some Families were happier than others. I’d like to think that I could marry a Christian woman who I could trust today and have a family. I don’t know though. I just live day to day. There are successful couples in this world today, but we have to ask are selves is it all worth the risk? The time and effort? They say life is short, do we really want to be 80 years old and single wondering why we didn’t take the risk? Trying not to sound blue pilled just something to think about.

Yes, MGTOW destroys the place of the man on the society and the "family" as a whole. This is as harmful as feminism but... there is another way? we have been pushed so far in this shitty unfair modern world.

While this isn't the case as not all men would do this, even if they did, behaviors would change. Until women start impregnating each other and taking care of themselves, they too will still want men.

If this mentality started spreading more, women's behavior would adjust accordingly. Then the female heirarchy would adjust as well. If the only women who behaved were getting the benefits of a loving relationship then the in group incentive structure would reinforce the positive behavior. This used to be the case.

Due to changes in law, access to pregnancy is cheap and subsidized for a female. The culture reinforces the current paradigm of using children as a bargaining chip, painting women as the default victim, and villifying men. Even if just the laws changed, the behavior would probably adjust. Just by giving men equal treatment we'd probably see a massive change in culture.

From what I've seen on this subreddit the downside to a MGTOW mentality is that there doesn't seem to be any criticism of poor male behavior. A lot of dudes here hate women so much they seem to think that no men can do wrong or that no man is liable for their bad behavior. They respect drug dealing Chads and Tyrones that impregnate random women because they "saved" a dude from a lifetime of mental anguish and economic turmoil and circumvented the government by being edgy and fucking the system. Even though these "alpha males" are actually incompetent as fuck, at best peaked in High School if they didn't drop out, have an overwhelmingly low IQ, and are literally making the human population dumber as a whole, wasting financial resources, and creating more criminals in the process.

There's too much focus on the M and not enough on the "Going Their Own Way", which makes it rife for some dude to sell you shit you don't need like a self help book or some shit. But obviously, there are a lot of dude's here that can see through that stupid bullshit, but in general, the high of some dude's "finally finding a group of like minded people to vent to" overtakes their actual rational mind. If you worship a group, and require that group to validate you, you're not going you're own way. Some dudes are way too happy for just being let out of the kennel and haven't realized they still have a leash on.

If a majority of men went MGTOW, then we men would fix our current society. Then Mgtow would be no more. Instead the remaining guys would just go back to being called bachelors. Names and acronyms can be abandoned and pick-up again.

This suggests that everyone would get involved, we know that not to be the case. We won't even get a whole nation to do this, let alone the entire world. This is just a small counter culture movement growing within our own culture. If it got to a point where a majority of men were involved it would no longer be counter culture, and as a result women couldn't just laugh it off. What I am trying to say is that before this could even infect an entire nation, women would cave. It would be impossible not to. Women's options are already dwindling because of their stupid standards, when you remove men actually wanting them in return than suddenly the standards lower, men become the more valuable sex, etc. etc.
