I have been on a few dates and I've paid. Did I sleep with them all? No. Did I learn something from the experience? Yes. Am I frugal? Yes. I plan dates that can accommodate my spending habits.

Not Mcdonalds, more like Carrabbas or a Picnic on the Beach. It's all about the experience.. but you can usually gauge (considering you're adept at emotional reading/weeding through the gold diggers) who wants a free meal or not.
