It's... complicated to be honest.

The bracket of 'self help' gurus taking hilarious amount of cash for their service is a phenomenon that was around for decades, and isn't PUA exclusive. Tony Robbins is a good example of that. His prices are stupendous. Same for a shitload of people that advertised 'get rich' seminars and had people pay upwards of 2,000-3,000 dollars for those seminars.

Now, towards the hard evidence; Pick up artistry used to work, depending what advice of it you took with you. The Reasonw why it worked was because what was being done was largely a 'secret', and it was a new phase. For a while around the late 90's/mid 2000's Women where 'easier to play' so to speak, and alot of what these guys 'taught', to achieve 'the goal' (Aka score some slut), does actually work.

Now, the reason why the majority of 'pick up artists' disappear has nothing to do with PUA being a scam (It's highly overpriced, but not technically a scam. You get what you pay for, a tutorial on how to pick up dumb sluts). Not to mention that we have to give credit where it's due. Pick up artistry and PUA paved the way for the MGTOW mindset, and if we're all honest to eachother, the reason most of us are going 'MGTOW' and not 'PUA' is because the 'risks' involved in running PUA simply have become too fucking high. Another fact is that countries have actively started banning PUA groups for misogyny and advocating violence against women.

The Dark Truth about PUA is this; It's not a scam in the traditional sense. It just put a huge pricetag on telling you something very, very simple. If you want pussy, you have to make a clown of yourself, tick all the 'sexual' markers for a woman to get her interested by signalling douchebaggery, status, fame, money, humour, fashion sense and what else have you, entertain her feeble emotional states 24/7, and so on. And us Men, as sex-driven as we are, we where willing to do that all.

Until Feminism went full throttle, #MeToo hit, and just contact of any measure with a Woman has become a gambling situation where you stand to win very little (A bit of sex), against huge possible marginal losses (House, Kids, Car, Freedom through imprisonment, False Rape Charges, Destruction of your Social Reputation, Loss of Job, etc).

So it's not as much as PUA being a scam. It's just outdated and doesn't fit the time. It's a class on how to wield a medieval sword in a time where people are fighting with automated rifles. It's not for this time, or men of this time.

Even if you could bang your equal for a third of the effort it currently takes, it just isn't worth it. Relationships are way, way worse yet on the cost be benefit analysis.

Heck, even if you were paid a thousand dollars to marry a sexy girl via modern marriage, it isn't worth it. If you think it is, you are weak and have no self-respect.

Unless you want to settle for someone way, way lower then you, the costs are outrageous.

And in the end, women are the ones who get ALL of the benefits from relationships.

Men get sex and lose everything in exchange (including sex).

Women get better sex, tons of status, resources and security...and give up nothing. They do not even have to put any work in, just sit there and fuck 6 and 7 losers while they wait for there 8 out of ten to "save" them.

PUA "training" worked, but stuff like cold approach and day-game were "false flags", so I never did any of that stuff.

The original TRP worked even better than PUA, PUA is about becoming a better seller (of yourself), the original TRP was about becoming a better self, with attracting women being a by-product.

Don't beat yourself up too hard, the better way to learn a lesson in life is through experience.

Take care of yourself now, lift, eat well, fine-tune your critical thinking skills, beef up your personal finances... and more. The Future is a beautiful place.

That PUA shit doesn't work for the very guys who supposedly "need" it the most - the guys who are both low in wealth/status and have serious physical shortcomings. Even TRP says nowadays that Redpill was "only designed for average guys" and can only improve a guy so far. I've seen them openly admit that TRP can only help an ugly fellow "become an effective Beta Bucks". Nowadays, not only will ulgy/short/disabled guys get no results after thousands of approaches, but they're also far more likely than the average guy to get metoo'ed.

PUA and redpill has led me here, I don’t believe any of it was a scam, in fact I wouldn’t pay anyone 3k to tell me to stand straight and to make girls laugh, when I can just download it

Either way I believe Everyman goes through these phases: bluepill>pua>redpill>MGTOW All men are going through the phases some find a phase and get stuck in that phase some revert and some skip but the end goal is MGTOW until something else is discovered

300 approaches ending in rejection, averaging a minute per approach is 5 hours. 5 hours of unpaid work involving public humiliation. The work ethic required to persevere in this fruitless pursuit is beyond me.
