90k restitution for being forced to spend 4.5 years rotting because if a lie... absolutely disgusting. Then, only having to serve 2 months of prison on the weekends because they don't want to discourage women reporting is downright criminal, imo.

The argument is horseshit. Why would properly punishing liars discourage actual rape victims from coming forward?! HOW COULD THEY BE PUNISHED FOR LIEING IF THEY ARE AN ACTUAL VICTIM AND, THEREFORE TELLING THE TRUTH?! FFS!!

This will encourage others , yeah to make up more false crap because they will get away with a light sentence , this is a precedent that will be used legally time and again to get rape accusers off when they are caught lying

It's my understanding that he could go after her in a civil suit and put her on the hook for all he lost plus damages. The lawsuit looks to be a slam dunk based on her conviction.
