It was all good in the office, it's actually a great environment. I was browsing my linkedin feed when I come across some news that says that a man got $8 billion from J&J because an antipsychotic drug made his breasts grow.

I found this hilarious and shared it with the office, everyone laughed and thought it was hilarious too. One girl said that considering her strong personality, she should be taking that medication as well, since the adverse effects would just be a plus for her. We all laugh again, so far so good. A few hours afterwards, I come back to the office after some admin work and the topic has resurfaced again, and I hear her say "well, I haven't started taking the antipsychotics yet!" and I say "well, maybe you should start taking them!". In my mind, referencing her strong personality. She immediately thought I was making a joke about her breasts, at which point she started calling me a sexist and so forth. Now, I'll admit, I'm an idiot. I should have seen it coming. But considering she had, at that same day, thrown a magazine into another coworker's face after said coworker asked to read the magazine, I thought that my comment was obviously directed at her "craziness" and not her body parts. I explain this to her, but again, she is adamant about me being a sexist. Now, management has not heard anything about it yet. And there is no HR department in my branch, everything HR is handled in the states at the main office. I don't think I can get ahead of it.

I think I'm kind of screwed. One last nail in the coffin, the girl in question is the Branch Manager's cousin. I'd hate to leave, It's a decent company, they pay well and the job is good. What would you do in my place?
