It's hard to defend the guy when there's photographic evidence. Sucks that he's just a voice actor, not a powerful politician like Creepy Joe Biden.

I guess pretty soon the only famous people will be women and gay men. Why would you even want to become famous anymore as a man? You'd have to be constantly looking over your shoulder.

Being a good person nowadays will only get you burned. Guy was going out of his way to be kind to fans (unless there is more to the story than is posted here) and now he is getting fucked for it.

Hard to defend this one, really.

I'm a huge fan of Vic's and have been for a long time. He's very touchy and affectionate with all his fans, even older male fans (he hugged me the couple of times I met him). He means well when he does it. It's just his way of saying thanks.

But he needs to remember that he stars in a lot of animes that cater to young girls, so a lot of his fans are underage and he should behave as such.

There's a huge difference between bro-hugging a 20-something year old Dragonball Fan, and kissing an underage girl.

While he is a bit self centred and can be an asshole at times, he's not evil and he's not a predator (there's no accusations of rape or grooming, to my knowledge). He's just a foolish man who didn't think about where the line might be in regards to his interactions with others and now he's going to pay for it.

The repercussions are a bit extreme, and the timing of the accusations is somewhat suspect, but there's hard evidence of his behaviour so it's not totally fair to discount the accusers in this case.

I use to work for an anime convention. The guy is an asshole. Very self centered. I first heard of the accusations in like... 2012. This has been going on for a long time.

Unfortunately for him, he got caught, and now he's just another stat of a guy having women ruining his career. If you wanna learn something from Vic Mignogna, it's don't fuck your fans in an ultra left leaning environment. They will fuck you out of a career. Just some context, the Anime cosplay community is ultra-left. They entertain feminism, #metoo, and consider their conventions a safe space.

Yup, we do see that there are stars that do get to fuck their fans and live the life. Not everyone is equal. Even the successful guys have attempts of blackmail done on them all the time we don't hear about. Us regular guys without millions to spend on attorneys and a media image that needs to be protected for revenue don't stand a chance.
