I was seeing someone who started hitting the wall. I tried to watch Dave Ramsey stuff with me & encourage her to focus on finances & just try to plan for a future. We weren’t married so I made it clear finances were separate. I’m all about money consciousness and opened myself up that way to her. Even texted a screenshot of an investment that was $666.66, which was too funny. Now I feel bad though because while I was doing all this, she was trying to find a job & sinking financially. How’d you get over any regrets of pushing a certain lifestyle to an ex where she probably felt guilty & then those were some of the reasons you split? She admitted she had financial issues and several times I asked if she was up to date with her bills & she literally told me she was a fuckup and loser at the end. Tried to tell her it could be worse but that damn alcohol was in her. Now feel guilty she might be doing worse than she was with me. And mad if she’s doing better.
