It's quite interesting that modern society has a consent age of 18 (depends on country) when back in the day there were marriages happening where the girl was like 12 years old. It occured to me that if there wasn't a concrete law about the age of consent, girls would start the riding the cock-carousel much earlier in life with guys who have hit peak puberty. We all know of course that girls hit puberty much faster than boys, it kind of screws the dating system up if you have girls having sex at younger ages than the boys (of their age group).

Perhaps the people making these laws have a firm understanding of female nature, it's considered "rape" to have sex with a girl who has reached their sexual maturation before the male counterpart - they might understand that it's all about the current moment for girls, you just have to influence their attraction in the moment.
