25 Male here, safe to say my early to mid 20's has been a constant disappointment. Wanted to pursue a sport at a high level but unfortunately sustained a series of bad injuries that required a few surgeries, which I'm still paying off. Went to university at 17, got a bachelor's in a field that isn't that marketable, I wanted to cut my losses early but was under pressure from the parents, so I completed it. Complete waste of time. I'm 3/4 through my 2nd degree in the healthcare sector which I'm hoping will pay off at some point. I should be able to get a job that pays within the region of 50-60k once I'm done. Not much, and honestly i dont even know if it is worth the effort, but I will persist nonetheless. I t should be sufficient as a single person with controlled outgoings.

I had at one point enough money to put down a small house deposit, but unfortunately all of it has been poured into education and medical costs. I currently have $85 in my bank account as my job doesn't pay me on time and about $60-70k in education related debt, which luckily is only payable once I have meaningful employment.

I'm trying to get casual work to get me through the next year but I'm having no luck. My CV is pretty well rounded so I thought I'd at least get some interviews for basic jobs (I.e. retail and hospitality), but I guess employers have other ideas. At this point I don't know what they want and their selection processes just seems arbitrary.

My energy seems to be diminished, I wake up knowing I should be grateful, things could be much worse, but I can't help focusing on the futility of everything, I feel like jm just and here to beat around the bush for 80 odd years. I get no pleasure from academic success or much else these days, really the only thing that brings me joy is training and participating in sport which I do in spite of chronic pain. I find some solace in MGTOW and other philosophies as I believe they are a logical response to this contemporary circus we live in. I've always been patient, but I'm becoming increasingly angry at the situation. Does this disappointment ever lift? or is it just a matter of constantly lowering my expectations? Is there anything I could be doing better to change my situation? Apologies for this mess of a post, hopefully you can make some sense of it.
