Trying to compartmentalise for you here :

You're furious about the waste of time - Learn from it, don't repeat the mistake of trusting anyone else without fallback plans. This applies to any sort of relationship be it emotional, sexual, financial, etc.
You want to discover/explore sex - It is a biological function which you should at least experience anyway, look for an escort or escorts which you have chemistry with, tell them exactly what you need from each encounter and go with it.
Why Escorts ? They're not stereotypical hoes nor are they your Vegas fare. These women maintain product quality (which includes health and hygiene) and are "worth every dime" so to speak. As for affordability, think of it this way ; Time is currency, money is currency, emotions are currency, everything has a price. Conventional dating eats your resources as it is, why not just cut to the chase and spend more time investing in yourself ?
Invest into yourself first and foremost - Family, friends, w/e don't matter as you can't and shouldn't please everyone. The more you build yourself up the more value you present to others, and hopefully with enough wisdom you will retain only relationships which encourage mutual progression.
