Wow look at this huge men’s health section at the bookstore

It’s hard to see, but there’s a single slim volume in the “men’s health” section at my local Indigo - a book about natural remedies for low testosterone. Meanwhile there is a whole “wellness” area (multiple shelves) that is 99% aimed at women’s health.

On the one hand, it shows how little heed our society pays to men’s well-being. On the other hand, it also demonstrates how women obsess over themselves.

I think this really shows how little we as men worry about our health. Space on the shelf is for books that sell. Women buy book like this so people write them and they get sold. Men don’t buy them so they stopped writing them. You only need to go out in public and see the number of obese men around to know it’s true.

I'd say half of it is the fact society cares less about the health of men. The other half is that men don't buy as many books about their health. General health is common sense. Books aren't required for most of it. And if you want to make imporovemts or precautions here and there, the internet is a vast ocean of information. I really push for men to take better care of their minds and body. No one else is going to do it.
