A recent post asking about our thoughts on #MeToo made me remember one sad case, which went to Penal Court between wife, daughter as aggrieved and father/husband as defendant. This was domestic violence penal case not alleged rape, but it shows clearly how woman can be cruel and roughless if it suits her interest. I am judges assistant and this case was for my judge to review this case.

Wife and husband were during divorce and they had 2 children - daughter and son. The son was crippling sick. I belive he had MS (Multiple Sclerosis) or something simillar. Defendant was a wealthy man, he earned much money and provided good for his family (he was bank general director or main specialist as I recall), but with his son disease he quit his job, focused his all energy to take care of his son and he even created foundation helping people with the MS. I belive he was with his son in national TV giving interview, but I'm not certain about this.

Meanwhile wife got sick of him. She was a career woman and was nagging him about not earning as much as earlier. She even nagged him during family events like Christmas. As we know since husband quit his job wife probably stop seeing him as superior but inferior to her.

But that was not even pinnacle of her wickedness. In the end she went to Family Court to file for divorce and started to arrange to view him to be bad as Satan himself. She claimed that he was shouting on her; that she didn't know what to do with him; that he had an affair with his secretary; that he comes drunk home and violate her and their daughter etc.

The evidence were not clear at this point. There were testimonies of the defendand and aggrieved party (excluding son because of his condition), family members, family firends and neighbours plus Police reports etc. Especially the timing of domestic violence reports and neighbours testimonies were clear that something was not adding up with testimony of wife and daughter. Everyone viewed them as calm and normal familly, they didn't saw any domestic violence, they didn't see on daughter any domestic violence indicators and there was one police intervention documented after divorce was filed.

In the meantime (during the period when domestic violence was occuring) huband got cancer and he needed to take chemotherapy. This guy was all alone, being cared only by his friends and 80 year old mother. During this time his wife and daughter flung him off and treat him like an air. I belive he even testified that they (wife and daughter) were even shuting off raidiator in his room during chemo to make him even more sick.

Of course daughter supported her mother in allegation of domestic violence and was also sided with her as fellow victim of domestic violence.

But the guy in the end made the master move. He recorded his wife as she was shouting on him during their argue. As I mentioned wife pictured herself during testimony as weak little woman, who was dominated by this vile husband. But on this recording she was badshit insane shouting on him and calling him names :) My judge was shocked, wife went crying during the trial as husband played the recording with smug on his face. In the end husband was found not guilty.

Wife and daughter appealed of course, but Court of Appeal dismissed it. As it went back to my court I made my time to sum all court expanses to make them pay every penny that went from the State Finances on her bullshit case (I belive it was about 1.100 USD including his public defender fee).

Oh and to add up the Prosecution since the begining knew that her testimony was not adding up and didn't took the case to forumalte an indictment. But thanks to Penal Procedure Code in Poland she and her daughter could formulate an indictment themselves (there are exceptions where aggrieved can do that) and thanks to that they took husband/father to the Court.

Even if it ended happily I can't imagine how that took blow to his image and stability. During trial he got remission of his cancer and proceedings were suspended for about 1 year as he was getting treated. I just hope that this guy is ok now and can take care of his son, but it's also a warning to us all. Woman can be cruel and they'll lie about domestic violence, even if that's your daughter.

TL;DR - Husband earns a lot of money, has nice house and family but with his sick MS son he quits his job and takes care of him and finds time to create foundation helping MS patients. Career woman wife naggs him about quiting his job and in the end sue him for divorce, arranging domestic violence case with her daughter as co-aggrieved. They show him as monster, paint themselves as weak victims, but when he needs to take chemotherapy wife and daughter leave him alone and he's being taken care by friends and old mother. In the end he records his wife showing her as "not so weak victim" and overall he's found innocent. Wife and daughter need to pay court fees now.

Edit 1 - u/rapister pointed about son sickness, which I corrected. I wrote earlier SM because it's this disease shortcut in my native language, but I meant MS - as for Multiple Sclerosis. Thank you for pointing that.
