Maybe. I guess a prime stripper can earn as much as a construction engineer for a year or two but as a general rule it goes up their nose or in their veins as fast as they earn it. Before you know it their looks are gone and they’re broke if not homeless with nothing on a resume besides “stripper”. And most of them have a kid anyway which makes them even less marketable. I’m guessing the list of 40 year old former strippers who invested their earnings and are now on easy street isn’t very long.

BINGO! I read an article years ago and the writer interviewed some strippers in NYC and they stated they made around $1,000 every weekend. And I'm guessing they didn't report much of their earnings to Uncle Sam either so that's a lot of dough where I live. If people threw money at me to see me nearly naked, I can't say I'd turn down the opportunity. Especially if I lived in a society that encouraged me to, lol.

Good strippers make 200k or more in a year, easy. Friend of mine was roomies with one and a good weekend for her was 5 grand. More than once she made 10k in a night.
She blew it just as quickly on drugs and jewelry. Hence she had to have roommates.

Good lord, imagine having that kind of money and spending it twice as fast as you make it. If I got in indeed right now and look at jobs, the average pay for a job that most people would qualify for pays between 10-15/hr. She should live off of that for a while and I'd like to see how she makes it then.

Now I'm imagining what 200K would be equivalent to today during whatever year(s) this was going on. Most women are born on easy street and can stay there their entire lives if they want but they make terrible financial decisions and partner choosing so they end up moving to hard mode and wonder what happened? Absolutely no forethought until it's too late and even then - it's only a slightly better version of "Well I guess I could've done x or y instead tee hee"

They lie about their earnings. I worked in a strip club, the white women were all drug addicted trash that lied about everything. You had to watch them like a hawk. The black women were all single moms using the only asset they had to provide for their womb turds. They were orders of magnitude less trashy than the white women. I’m guessing things are about the same today except they all have kids in addition to their drug habits.

no, 60 years ago prior to the equal pay act that was what feminists were talking about. the continued wage gap complaint is that the equal pay act has not had the effect of equalizing women's earnings to men's across the board. the average 75-80% difference in men's and women's earnings is a function of women and men doing different kinds of work and seeking different things in terms of benefits, job security, etc. this statistic is continually brought up by feminists seeking to enact the paycheck fairness act, which would basically fast track wage discrimination suits through the process to be certified class actions so that lawyers can get settlements out of cases that are obvious bullshit, while shifting the burden of proof to defendants and denying them legitimate defenses. another measure feminists today push for is comparable worth standards, under which some gender studies major would dictate to employers that jobs primarily done by women should be paid the same as different jobs primarily done by men within the same organization. I can't even suggest that you take your own advice and "do some research" as this is not something you should need to research. Instead I only ask what rock you have been living under that you have managed to somehow not hear any correct information about any of this?
