Maybe a parent or a sibling or some other family member.

They think that just because you're unattached to some battle axe, you should be available 24/7 when he/she wants to talk. For example, call you once an hour and then leave some message like "are you ok?" if you don't pickup after enough phone calls. It's not that they are concerned but feel entitled to your attention at their whim and want to make sure you're not having fun without them.

Or maybe they drop in on you without calling (on a day you might want to be left alone), or you do make plans/arrangements and they are late or don't show.

Maybe the person has a significant other and tell that person stuff about you that is none of their business.

You're expected to help move, babysit their pets if they go out of town or whatever because you surely must have the time.

Any of you deal with this kind of thing and how do you handle it?
