I used to joke around about this with one of my buddies but recently I've started wondering if the idea would actually be legitimate. The dream is dual income no kids, but finding a woman that would share all or even most of my interests, goals, and not be AWALT is a very long shot.

Would it ever make sense to combine finances with another guy? Share a house, or maybe not. Be an on paper legal couple without actually being in a relationship?

If things didn't work out I'd imagine divorce Court wouldn't be able to screw over both guys, unless one of them manage to have a kid with someone else along the way.
