MGTOW is an uncomfortable truth about the need for male sovereignty. Society doesn't have your back, and neither do women, act accordingly.

So, what's next? What comes after the red pill rage, the sadness, and acceptance? Of course individual answers may vary, and I speak only for myself. If I use the word "you" or "men" I mean it in an abstract, and am applying it to myself in an ideal case... so... What's next?

Upon realizing that women are not capable of certain male virtues, on account of their female nature and a difference in values borne out of evolutionary niches (ovaries and wombs vs testicles and penises - all the obvious sexual dimorphisms that post-modernists go out of their way to ignore, citing transexuals and outliers as refutations of biological realities. The price of the lie is a denial of this reality, and the lie must be upheld for those on the opposite side of the "debate".) once you settle this debate in your mind, and accept female nature, and male nature, for what it is, then you can move forward onto the implications of the truth.

What does it mean that women have babies and thus need resources? Hypergamy naturally follows. If women are comparatively weak and a rate-limiting factor in population growth, then it follows that they cluster together and are more concerned with social appearances, etc., etc., etc. The consequences are well documented elsewhere in MGTOW discourse.

Working under the fair assumption that men and women have different values (and I mean that in both the sense of value systems or ethics, as well as in a more economic sense of the word "value"), then how does one proceed?

Obviously women become somewhat of a liability, and we see this most clearly in the #metoo movement and the Pence Rule retort. It makes sense to limit interactions with women, in some sense, in order to maximize value.

We've long since seen high-achieving men brought low by women (e.g. Robin Williams's suicide, Brendan Fraser's divorce, Jeff Bezos's mistress/divorce, Kanye or John Lennon losing their muse after marriage, etc.). The dynamic is clear as day - don't chase women if you want to follow your dreams and achieve success.

What other practical advice can we, as practical men of action, garner from MGTOW insight?

In a larger sense, we observe the pendulum of society swing back and forth with some regularity, and the cyclical nature of history. As TFM and others have pointed out, "Difficult times make strong men. Strong men make times good. Good times make weak men. Weak men make times difficult." There is a cyclical nature, and we see, also, men as founders create a thing of value (such as a franchise or some intellectual property), then the thing becomes popular, then the thing becomes corrupted and cheapened by the masses, until eventually the thing loses relevance.

Given the cyclical nature of society and the world-historic moment in which we find ourselves, many MGTOW have some sense that we stand on the cusp of a societal inflection point... e.g. the business cycle in the US is in one of the longest bull markets in history, and the Fed is worried enough about a pull-back that it's easing interest rates... most investors are anticipating a "correction", since a bull market doesn't last forever. Pair this with demographic shifts, and a world-economic inertia suggests a massive change.

The unfortunate part about living through a historic and largely technological revolution is that most people living through it are not fully aware of its impact until long after the historians can makes sense of it and put it into a greater context.

The sexual revolution is one such world-historic moment which we are still contextualizing...

MGTOW, on the forefront of human knowledge as it pertains to male sexuality and men's place in the world, have a sense of what it means when humanity uncouples female sexuality from fertility. An artificial selection mechanism has altered natural selection regarding human reproduction. We see primal drives in the female come out in the face of sexual liberation (e.g. "the cock carousel riders", "cat ladies", etc.). Across all populations (even in the developing world and traditional cultures) we see a decline in fertility (though the developing world and traditional cultures see less of a decline - there is a decline across the board). As it turns out, when women have more power of choice, then they have fewer children. Female education is one of the most negatively correlated factors related to fertility rates.

Knowing female nature, one could have predicted this outcome before the pill and the sexual liberation which followed. Women wanted abortions and oral contraceptives because they stand to lose the most from giving birth. The economics have shifted, and now men are paying higher prices for children. Neither side wants to bear additional costs, and so a negative feed-back loop begins, heralding a demographic winter.

Ironically, we see pet ownership positively correlated toward childlessness, and cat ladies are a common enough phenomenon that they are shorthand for a woman without children; the maternal instinct becomes displaced and finds an outlet elsewhere. Female nature hasn't changed, but the environment has.

Men, too, have seen a change in the environment, and we must navigate it accordingly.

The changes men face result from a change in the "social contract", or expected male behaviors. Men have less demand placed upon traditionally masculine traits and pursuits. For instance, while physical fitness still speaks to a primal nature in man and woman, it is largely optional to be physically fit in today's society. Yes, you will probably get more pussys wet if you're jacked, but being jacked is not a matter of survival in the sense that if you can't bring in the harvest, then you'll starve. Society has less need of physical labor with powerful machines (although the trades and physical labor can still pay very well, especially for peak performers). The general fitness of society has declined as evidenced by the obesity epidemic.

Men are not required to be as traditionally masculine in the current environment, and it shows with the abundance of beta-cuck-soy-boys, even though traditionally masculine virtues have intrinsic value. In fact, a masculine mindset can be very valuable still, and some of the highest earners are star athletes, shrewd businessmen, autistic-level technologists, etc. Granted the eccentric successful man is a comparative rarity when looked at through the broad lens of society as a whole. Most men are not Elon Musk, or Micheal Jordan, or Richard Feynman, or Warren Buffett. But there are advantages to embracing your masculinity even when the broader society has discounted male achievement and value.

In fact, one of the best ways to succeed is to double-down on masculinity: invest in men (don't invest in women). A man will tend to give a higher ROI, assuming he is masculine.

So, one path forward is to network with men, and make deals - commerce tends to have some marginal benefit. Internationally, men can grow wealth. Unfortunately, there are more matriarchal societies to avoid when going international. I can't speak to the whole of the world but I imagine there are some places where it might be easier to avoid doing business.

What ever "profit" means to the individual MGTOW, one can still profit in a decline.

Other than taking the best parts of masculinity, leaving women behind, investing in men, and profiting from the decline, what else is there to do?

In a sense yet larger, MGTOW, as frontiersmen, have the chance to plant the seeds of the future. Like a Johnny Appleseed, we can create the fruits that future peoples will one day take for granted. Being out ahead of others allows us to steer the future, assuming we are up for it.

As practical men of action, it's possible to make an impact on future technologies, and build wealth from trends which we can see clearly.

Unfortunately, I see some of MGTOW becoming mired in the past, longing for a bygone day when pimphands were strong and women couldn't vote. I love a good fantasy, but the past is over and, despite the cyclical nature of things, it's never coming back in quite the same way (and even if the past does repeat itself, we'll be too old to live in the future's repetition of the past, as we were born in a different part of the cycle... we are here, the time is now - there is no changing this fact - know your role, and act accordingly). Our fate was not to live in the good times created by strong men - our fate was to see the turning from good times through to bad times brought about by weak men. The inflection point sees the greatest, most rapid change, and being on top of the crest, one has the maximal ability to steer the flow of history.

I may envy people living in simpler times, and a less interesting, more peaceful time, but fate has placed me on the edge of storm clouds. I might be an old man during the next great conflict, and I might only see a steady decline into chaotic times, but a good sense of the zeitgeist will make it so that subtle changes now have massive impacts later.

That said, no one makes money by betting on the end of the world; even if you're right, then you can never collect on it.

The further the time-horizon becomes (the closer to the end of the world in some cosmic sense), the less day-to-day good it can do you. It does me little good to know that one day the sun will expand to engulf the earth, for instance. I must continue on living with a more immediate time-horizon (more fitting the arc of a human lifetime). Investing in the future has limits.

While it feels good to imagine creating a new world in which men can live in a kind of harmony with the right amount of conflict and competition, or founding a free city-state of like-minded men... that is relegated to fantasy for someone like me.

Similarly, the artificial womb shows great promise, but I will probably be too old to take full advantage of such emerging technologies by the time it becomes a viable solution to the problem of women not wanting to have healthy children when they are most fertile.

In practical terms, I probably won't have children and will focus on maximizing my own personal power in order to do things. I have surpluses from my efforts. So long as I maintain myself, and act prudently, I'll continue to have surpluses.

Speaking of maintaining myself, I'm going to go work out, eat, and maintain my personal hygiene, since those are all day-to-day practical actions one can take. I don't have to work today, so I'll focus on other improvements to my quality of life.

So, have a nice day /r/MGTOW
