False rape accusations are actually not that common. The media has made this topic overblown tbh. My personal philosophy is not to sleep with someone you don't know as they are more likely to not care about what happens to you . Especially if they have to "protect" their reputation as the good girl.
Also if there is no proof you both have been in a relationship the courts are more likely to believe it was rape. If you want to avoid this make friends with the girl's inner circle and even family. There have been instances where the parents didn't believe the daughter. If your nice to people your pretty much covered.
But if people know you as the "player" you're fucked basically. Pump and dump is not an optimal lifestyle.

The media has made this topic overblown tbh
What the media has overblown is exactly the opposite, that every man is a rapist, that everything is rape and even that women can decide they were raped years, or even decades after they consented to sex because they simply changed their minds.
In fact, most false rape accusations go unpunished and hidden from the media, literally because "they might discourage real rape victims from seeking help". In fact governments all over the world even hide this statistic for that reason. What you see on the media is just a small tip of a gigantic iceberg that is willfully being hidden by authorities.

Judging by your comment history you don't seem like a newcomer. Interesting that you believe false accusations aren't common, especially after the #metoo boom. I think the mainstream media is doing a great job at manipulating you.

This isn't true. Look at Wikipedia. It's way more common than you think.
Wikipedia says that "it is generally agreed" (by who?) that 2% to 10% of all rape accusations are false.
It then lists 20 studies ...but four of those report around 45% of rape accusations as false. One even says 90% (but I cannot really believe that.)

No idea why you were downvoted - your advice is solid.

Probably because he said false rape accusations are "not that common", lol "If your nice to people your pretty much covered", biggest bunch of nonsense I've read all day.

Yep. Just a guy who's been lucky enough never to be falsely accused and probably none of his friends have either. So he imagines the problem is overblown.
"If it doesn't happen to me, it doesn't happen at all."

Of course it’s a problem but you guys are being overly dramatic about it.

I don't agree. Have a look at what wikipedia says about the incidence of false rape accusations.
[–]MarcusAurelius782 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
No I’m not doing anything you say. Someone like you who just makes assumptions and says shit like “if it doesn’t happen to me, it doesn’t happen at all” isn’t someone I take seriously.
Like I said already - SHOW ME EVIDENCE that false rape claims aren’t rare. When a woman accuses a man of rape I don’t believe shit until I see evidence. I’m sure you agree with that so with that said let’s also see evidence for your claims.
You can’t just say something is very common without any evidence to support it. That’s as pathetic as women who make accusations without evidence and expect everyone to believe them right away.

Did you look at Wikipedia?

False accusation of rape
A false accusation of rape is the reporting of a rape where no rape has occurred. It is difficult to assess the true prevalence of false rape allegations, but it is generally agreed that, for about 2% to 10% of rape allegations, a thorough investigation establishes that no crime was committed or attempted.

"it is generally agreed 2% - 10%"
Yet Wikipedia lists 20 studies with figures ranging from 2% to 90% and the median seems to be about 45% - interestingly there are four studies clustered around that figure.
I wonder how they decided "it is generally agreed 2% to 10%" - because as it happens that figure matches the lowest figure reported of all 20 studies. I find that a bit suspicious. Could someone be trying to minimise?

I'm not arguing with it; I'm commenting on the information it posted...

Show me a statistic that they’re common. Don’t you think evidence is important when making claims? That goes both ways - women shouldn’t accuse men of rape without evidence.
Don’t you think that’s logical and fair?
