Hey everyone, this is my first post! Due to the story that Chart6653 posted here a while ago, I was motivated to post my experience when a woman comes back into your life all of a sudden you start getting things settled in your life. ( This story happened before I found MGTOW, I'm just sharing because now I see what really happened )
BACKGROUND I was minding my own business doing my last year of college, then out of the blue I see that somebody added me on Snapchat. I re-added back and asked who it was.
It was a girl that went to elementary school with me, but I didn't see/heard anything from her after the 4th grade. Never kept contact. Never knew what happened to her.
She wanted to meet up at a restaurant, which I didn't see what was wrong with it. We get there, and she is a lot taller than me (and a lot wider). We sat down and caught up on things. Of course, we did reminisce about things from elementary school. And in all honesty, I wasn't attracted to her in elementary or even now. Anyways, at the time and maybe still now I'm pretty dense when it comes to a woman is hitting on me.
Eventually, she got to talking about one of my older friends. We'll call him X:
Her: "So did you hear about X? You know, the guy in Mrs. Y's class?"
Me: "Oh shit! I haven't seen that guy in years!"
Her: "Well, did you know that he was hitting on me the other day?"
Me: "No? Not really? Anyway, how's he been?"
H: "Well I wouldn't know, other than the fact he was interested in me. I stopped texting him."
M: "Man, I got to catch up with him, do you have his #?"
H: "No I blocked him, he seemed too weird. But you know I really would've liked to date him, if he wasn't so creepy."
M: "Oh, that's cool."
Our conversation went like that for a bit, until we each paid for our dishes and left.
She would message me a lot after that on Snap for almost every thing I posted, plus I noticed she constantly looked at my snap story. But two months before my graduation she stopped doing both. I didn't think much to say anything.
The month of graduation I invited her to come to my party, and she said ""Oh nice I told my boyfriend about it, can we both come?"
I told her it was ok. I honestly just wanted friends there to have a good time. The day of she didn't show up. Never messaged me back after, no congrats message, or a reason why she couldn't make it. She just ghosted me. I thought it was weird that, even as a childhood friend, she didn't even say something, but either way I had a lot of fun. I heard through the grapevine (which may be true or may not) that she is now living with him.
Now because of this sub, I realize she was talking to me more than likely so she could start dating me, especially since I was just about to finish school. Once she found a guy (and I'm hope she's happy, I honestly do since we were friends in elementary), she probably lost interest. I don't blame her, it's only natural.
Plus, I can honestly say that I'm happy with the way things are in my life right now. They can always be better, but I'm glad the way it is. But man, I used to hate myself and my denseness, but now in a way I'm sort of glad of it. It probably saved me a lot of headaches with other girls I probably did not want to have anything with.
