Yes, I can be friends with women, depending in her personality of course. Friendships with women are, in my view, sort if the new "relationship". I don't care who she sleeps with (if anyone) and I'll never have to worry about her demanding anything such as marriage because I can just leave.

So, yea. Just probably not if she's a female supremacist. :)

Fact is, my biggest problem with that is women seem to assume I'm after them for more. That sucks, because it makes a mess of any social or setting (such as workplace)

Would you spend you time on someone who does nothing for you when you could be working and earning load of money instead? Any time I waste is time I can't be earning money trading stocks. So in order to be worthy of my time, you have to be more valuable to me than the money I could have made in that time. Holding your purse while you try on clothes in the gap has no value to me.

I will try to summarize it in a blunt way. Girls generally all go for the top 20% of men, and the other 80% usually mostly get rejected, used, etc. When they do get in a relationship, they often get cheated on, replaced for better, or used for money.

So there is mainly 3 ways those mens in the bottom 80% react.

Only monks are not into relationships. A lot of MGTOWs have gfs and have intimate relationships with women. MGTOW don't hate women. We love the women in our lives, gfs, moms, sisters, etc...

We just don't marry or live with women. This is due to how society treats men, legally, by inserting itself in the divorce and family courts, enforcing common law, DV, etc...

For the most part MGTOW also recommends not associating and having relationships at work or on college campuses due to #MeToo hysteria and Title IX tribunals on campus. It's better to date women not going to your college or out of college all together.

MGTOW is just a rational, pragmatic, common sense lifestyle that severely mitigates risks that society poses to men in particular. It's not about hate. In fact, it is quite unemotional and more based on logic and reason.

Personally I’m not against relationships as long as you have a good judgement for shitty people. But being friends with a girl has no point. One is going to have sexual feelings for another and that’s not what friends do. That will cause more problems in the long run and will lead to manipulation. You just need to not be naive and keep your mind open for signs.
