Plates/exes who have previously left your life may seek to return, however rather than in a 'boomerang' fashion as described above, they may instead be aiming to 'be friends' aka add you to their list of beta orbiters who exist to supply them with cheap validation.

In order to ascertain which category you fall under, ask yourself:

  • how did the relationship end? Under my terms or hers?

  • did I break frame? Did she perceive me as an alpha or a beta when ending things?

I bring this up as I recently had a relationship end due to my unfortunately showcasing far too many blue pill traits. When my ex contacted me again, I was at first considering attempting to plate her: however upon extended consideration realised there was no way she was approaching me as an alpha, but rather as a potential beta orbiter.
