To a point, the pursuit of a woman by a man can be a catalyst for a positive change in a man by giving him purpose.

With a purpose, men typically work harder, smarter, and longer. Women have been the primary beneficiary of this drive for most of human history.

However, this whole paradigm has shifted in less than a decade. With social media and dating apps, hypergamy is running hotter than the reactor core at Chernobyl. You could be the best guy in your meatspace social group and due to the wonder of technology still not be good enough for the women in that social group.

The net effect is that men are robbed of millennia of purpose that has long been part of civilization. Without a purpose, men are minimally productive and prone to self destruction. Why waste the energy otherwise?

This is why MGTOW becomes important for men. It moves the focus off women and towards other worthy ideals.
