No puberty isn’t cool and glorious for men just because we’re men. Being male actually makes life harder.
When I was younger I was interested in Pokémon, Yugioh and stuff like that. I had friends of both genders. As I started to go through puberty I noticed stuff like facial hair and height differences and that made me worry a lot.
Looking back this was probably because I had internalized all of the negative man-hating behavior of others.
I turned 14 and suddenly I wasn’t trusted to hangout with girls anymore. My aunts stopped calling me cute and started calling everything I did “mannish.” I wasn’t allowed to babysit or play with my young cousins. My friends started pressuring me and making fun of me for being a Virgin. I was fucking 15. Suddenly me and my sister roughhousing meant I was some psychotic abuser instead just a petulant child. My weekends at my cousins house, meant I was expected to do yard work instead of playing video games. Why? Because they had it in their head that “if a man doesn’t work he doesn’t eat.” I was expected to talk about sports that I didn’t give a single fuck about, because I liked science and comics and was bullied because of the types of music I liked. My bio dad was trash and because of that I was often held up against him by comparison.
NONE OF THAT would have happened if I weren’t male.
So now that I’ve worked my ass off and become my own master. Now that I’ve taken all of the responsibility of manhood and I wear it well.
NOW when they see men like me, who don’t share their emotions or who don’t invest time or energy in foolishness. When they see men who know how to enjoy sex without obligation. When they see men who have no interest in marriage, they want me to change?
Nah because fuck that.
Lots of men were treated like they were turning into monsters instead of men. Because the media told everyone that manhood is somehow equal to being a predator. Because the media convinced EVERYONE that heterosexuality makes you a creep.
Hope this clears things up for the lurkers who pretend to be brothers just to try and argue with people on pro-male subs like this one.
THATS what it feels like to go from a boy to a man. NOT the sex filled, fever dream, bad boy bullshit they feed you. I was never a pervert or a fucking creeper but they made me feel like one. I was never born lucky because I had a penis. MOST MEN HAVE TO EARN THEIR LUCK.
And what I want to say to guys reading this in a similar situation...
All of this fucked up man-bashing made me a fuckin surgeon with mathematics. Not “scoring” with girls in high school got me the GPA, that got me the degree, that got me the job, that got me the money, that got me more female attention than I even want.
You shouldn’t have to feel like this. You shouldn’t feel ashamed of becoming men. You shouldn’t feel like a girlfriend will complete you.
But if you do, if you’re hurting, one day that pain will start a fire in you, and it won’t stop burning until you’re somewhere rich as fuck. And all of those people who made you feel bad for being an awkward teenager? Guess what they will never be where you are because they were never tested by the fire like you were.
Put yourself first, set your own goalposts, and respond to anyone who disagrees with your ambition with cold hard fucking apathy.
You got this guys 👍🏼

This is so very true. And then we die alone. But I'm happy and wouldn't want it any other way.
