The end game, or purpose as you put it, is to live for yourself and do what you want. You do what you need to survive and have what you define as "fun" when you're not. Life has no purpose. Life is what you make it.

That is the feeling of many who recently find this knowledge. For so long so many men have lived with all value placed on somehow become eternal slave to a woman, that they have no knowledge of even who the fuck they are and what makes them tick. I did not have this issue, but I can understand others who have expressed this before. Allow me to guide you through a few easy questions how to find yourself and a purpose you can passionately follow for the rest of your life:

-What are your core principles?

Be detailed and make your search broad and deep. You need to first find your position on a moral and ethical compass.

-What was the first topic of passionate interest that you ever encountered in your life? What about the second? The third?

Revert back through your lifetime. Often there is a childhood desire or want that we never got to pursue because it was programmed out of us by society and by shit our families tell us. Rediscover it because often people find the interest hasn't waned over the years.

-Define the top 3 aspects of your life that you value and are proud of in terms of accomplishment (or will be proud of).

Building on existing skills or talent is often an easy route to finding something you find joy in pursuing.

-Research off-path jobs and look for roles that earn decently but fit better with your life pattern.

It took me researching remote incomes and paths that aren't "cookie cutter" in society to find the job and the income I wanted and could feel good about doing every day.

After doing these, you should find yourself with a lot more information to go off of than you began with. Re-discovering your forgotten self can be daunting, but the alternative is to stay in purpose limbo. If in this process you discover you didn't pursue any paths because you were too busy chasing pussy, its time to choose a career path. There has to be some part of the world either in existence or that you think you could create that you can find value in.

For this situation, I think "Reconnaissance Man" by Aaron Clarey is a good read. He talk's about the book a lot on his youtube channel.

From Aaron: "If you don't know what to study in college, then don't go. And if you don't know what to do in life, then don't go. I think it is a challenge, for sure. I think a lot of men are content to live minimally. If a man doesn't need much to be content, he doesn't aspire for much. That isn't a problem, in itself, unless he can't find meaningful things to do with his time. Even if the activities are ones that society would regard as a waste of time.

For myself, I've been monk for almost a 4 years. I know I am less productive than I would be if I were in an LTR or married. What I have found that works is to find enjoyment in simple activities. I look forward to, and appreciate, going for a river valley walk. Or to my favourite El Salvadorian restaurant. Listening to a good audiobook.

As we grow up we see what all the other "adults" are doing and in essence believe we are failures if we don't follow the same path. This is the problem because we hold ourselves to other's standards. And you know the old saying, "comparison is the thief of joy". MGTOW only gives us a wider perspective and an opportunity to ask the single most fundamental question of a man's life: What will make me happy? As a citizen of the USA, I learned from an early age that happiness is not guaranteed, just it's pursuit. We question our decision to be MGTOW because we see out other friends going on dates, crafting LTRs, getting married, and having children. As humans we all want that unconditional love, but as MGTOWs we know its largely a farce. Its healthy to question the world, its how we became MGTOWs to begin with. Its also healthy to recognize that all your friends' relationships will be mostly done and broken in 10-20 years. Finding your purpose is difficult to say the least, mainly because humans have no great cosmic purpose. "We mortals are but shadows and dust." In the end our purpose, in my humble opinion, is to pursue happiness. Because ultimately, "We're all dead men."

Yes I do get what you’re saying here. I feel somewhat the same. Even though I still pump and dump women, removing that from my life makes it hard to imagine what my end game and goals would be. I love women and sex still but I do get tired of it and wonder what else I’d do if I do completely removed it from my life. It’s like life is setup to pursue this fairytale and without it it takes time to really work out what else to pursue in life.

I still have ultimately found an answer.

I get where you're coming from, man. And I don't blame you for feeling the depression that comes with it. It's like when you unplug from all the bullshit, there's this sense of, "Well...now what?"

Once you realize that modern relationships and marriage are rigged to fuck you over, you have to re-evaluate what your endgame is in life. And yes, that may take time (and it's still something I fight with sometimes, brother, believe me).

Something I'd strongly recommend is surrounding yourself with like-minded quality male friends who you're comfortable opening up to. Finding/creating purpose in your life is up to you. However, quality male friends will help you maintain perspective and keep you on the right track.

One of my closest friends is 20 years older than me and served in Iraq. He saw some unspeakable shit while he was there. His stories remind me that strong men like him fought for young pups like me. I owe it to him to be strong in the face of my own bullshit (which is ultimately trivial baby shit compared to what he's seen).

Surround yourself with quality male friends, my dude. Best of luck to you.

Each one needs to find their inner fire. You can seek guidance on the outside, but ur own fire for life can only be found when you come back to your self and start relaying on yourself for guidance. Heart wisdom. Remember, your gut has more of the stuff that makes up your brain then ur brain. And your heart sends out more signals then your brain does. Yet we don't really use it. So it's no wonder we feel lost in the world. The conditioned brain run mostly on programs feed to you by your parents, school or society. It takes abit of courage to come back to your own body and start relaying on this unknown place in us.

You need to set yourself goals, things you wanted to accomplish and haven't yet. Best thing that brought me out of my depression was setting a exercise schedule. Once i got my strength build back up i started hiking various parts the Appalachians 2 years ago. It is fun even at 64. There is always fun things to do where ever you go. Make a plan and do it. Start out with small steps and don't overwhelm yourself and before long you'll mentally be able to take on the bigger challenges.

While I'm sure there are dozens of posts explaining it in detail above and below me, MGTOW is merely self-determination. It's this radical idea that YOU get to decide what you want to do with your life, not the church, not the state, not anyone else, not even other MGTOW.

Now, I think that discussing the possibilities of your newfound freedom is perfectly fine and many people come here to get new ideas on what they want to do and maybe try something new, but remember that this is YOUR journey, not anyone else's. Asking someone what you SHOULD do is no different then being on the plantation and having the church/state/wife say "get a high paying job, worship women, obey". The beauty of MGTOW is the discovery of yourself and the journey you undertake to find it. Poke arounf here and you'll find posts about people traveling or their hobbies or just stuff they enjoy doing now that they are free.
