You're still coming at this from a blue pill frame that you should compromise on everything with your SO. If you're leading your relationship like you should be you won't have to move to canada instead of alaska if thats what you want to do, you move to alaska and your Partner can either move with you or break up. You can still have a family and be successful, you can still be in a relationship and successful. The commmon denominator is YOU, not if youre single or not. That's hamstering away your responsibility for your own actions. When you have a great girl in your life who helps you, fucks your brains out, motivates you, and helps keep you on the path, it CAN make things a lot easier. It's not a necessity, but it doesn't hurt either.

Relationships don't have to be this equity-struggle where you're constantly compromising and "wasting time", it sounds like maybe you just left a relationship with an incompatible partner is all.

If you're an alpha-type as in a leader, a decision-maker, then it can be difficult if you're partnered with an alpha-type woman who's also trying to be a leader and decision-maker. That's where you end up with all of this compromise bullshit, when you both want to go in a different direction.

If you're a leader/decision-maker, get yourself a submissive follower and life is great. You decide what to do, she follows. Plenty of women like that out there.

This advice is great for a kid, but you need to understand that life is about more than finding new ways to jerk yourself off. Sometimes you need to sacrifice in order to understand what manhood really means. Leadership is sacrifice. And it's worth it.

I loved being single, it was a blast. But, you'll get to the point where you're actively passing up or abusing amazing women because of your own toxicity; your unbounded focus on your own ego. It isn't sustainable. Men were meant to have families. But for now, you'll have to leave it up to the grownups.

I was liking the title and general direction of this post but once i got a couple paragraphs in, something didn't feel right.

You are in control, and when you're taken, your life isn't up to you anymore.

If you aren't BP/beta you should be in control before the relationship starts, then she should enter your frame and follow you while you maintain control and follow your mission.

Imagine how good it would feel to, well, feel good about yourself? To be that desirable?

You can still take care of yourself in a relationship, but I do agree that relationships devour a lot of time and energy that you could spend bettering yourself.

This is how an LTR should be. Doing LTR things, maybe develop feelings but she's in your frame and not the other way around.

I've always likened singlehood to dropping out of college: it can either be a bad or super-good decision. In the case of singlehood, it's awesome if you know how to get laid. In the case of dropping out of college, it's awesome if you already have an opportunity (e.g. big break in entertainment, a fast-growing startup, etc.) that's way bigger than college.

No surprise to me that the opinions on this are so mixed; we have a hell of a spectrum going at TRP, boys.

Liked most, disliked some of OP's points. I've seen marriages where a man is a man and a woman is a woman, and they're happy, without modern feminist nonsense indoctrination.

As for everyone else, let's chill out. I think part of TRP is keeping a cool head and disposition.

Great post, man.

Honestly, I'm at the age where I don't need a SO to validate me or make me feel "complete." I do get thirsty though, but it doesn't come as an affliction like it used to in my early 20's. That was crazy back then. And its the reason why I ended up in a LTR of almost 4 years then. The thirst was strong.

Now, I feel like I survived the storm that is the early 20's. In my early 30's, I feel like I'm the commander and chief of my life. Its amazing. I just landed a contract that is gonna get me 6 figures with only working 32 hours per week. I start that next Monday!

Additionally, I literally have not worked since Sept. 30 of last year. I decided to go on a sabbatical that took me rock climbing for 2 weeks with 3 best friends in Yosemite Valley where I was able to send my first 10a (Revival was the name of the line in Church Bowl).

The German in the Yosemite group then road-tripped with me up the West Coast in the RV to Seattle, WA where he flew out. We hit S. Lake Tahoe, Portland, & Rainier Nat Part in between.

I then crossed into Vancouver, BC where my Aussie friend flew in to join on the Canada part of Operation Freedom (I dubbed the great road trip that name). She and I went from Vancouver to Jasper Nat. Park to Lake Louise to Calgary where she flew out.

I then finally drove back to my Southern Home to spend the month of November with family (Not with wife and kids; they don't exist; LOL).

After that, Operation SkiBum started in my return to CA. in early December. It was a Tahoe winter that Tahoe has not seen in many, many years and it still ain't over! And having never ski'd in my life, I'm now skiing steep blacks, shredding groom, and spraying tourist with the white stuff (get your head out of the gutter). I'm even doing some back country peak baggin' (I got the beacon, probe, and shovel, mane!). I will add that my brother from another mother taught me how to ski. I'm not just a natural skier.

The last 6 months have been more than I could have ever dreamed. It is truly amazing when life exceeds any dreams I ever had growing up. It would not have been possible to do any of this shit with a LTR.

Before that, I wasn't doing too shabby either. Worked 10 months straight. During that time, I bought a 15' GMC Diesel, and a 30' 5th wheel RV.

Before that, I worked a contract where I was able to take 3 weeks in the contract to go to Oktoberfest for the 2nd time with the German mentioned earlier (Phase 1 of the 3 week trip). Klaus and I also took a break from Wiesn to backpack in the Austrian Alps.

Then I went solo to Amsterdam for the 2nd time (Phase 2 of the 3 week trip).

Then after Amsterdam, I returned to San Diego (Phase 3 of the 3 week trip) where I had 2 days to rest until I hopped on a White Shark Diving trip to Isla de Guadalupe, MX where we dove for 5 days, ate chef prepared meals, and had bar-tender made drinks all while experiencing one of the most beautiful creatures of this world. The experience left me humbled, and it shed light on how insignificant my life really is. It is a freeing feeling to feel so powerless in the presence of such an Apex predator. Something changed in that cage when I first laid eyes on that big female. I cannot explain what occurred. I just felt better about my being.

Anyhow, I was a Bachelor the entire time! Haha! Yeah, I second the motion of "life is great when you focus on yourself and you evade the claws of a LTR."

That doesn't mean I've gone thirsty the whole time. I've had some STR's. They knew I was going to move on. And I swear it made the time spent together even better. Its amazing what appreciation of time together does to a relationship.

Yeah, it sounds like I'm bragging. But, I'm just trying to show what man can achieve when he really invests 100% into himself.

I will add that I was RP even before I knew TRP existed. But, I'm still learning. The road to self improvement only ends when you find yourself 6 feet under.

I needed to read this today as I have been recently asking myself why I left my ex, even though she checked all my boxes. That reason is control.

All of my past relationships last 1-2 years and I end them even when they're going well. The reason is I feel that I am losing control. It happens very slowly, but at one point I realize that I am doing less of what I want to do, and I need to look for a way out.

Now I am 100% in control of my life. Spending my free time building businesses and planning on living around the world over the next few years.

I plan to have many warm and caring flings, as you put it. But no more relationships. Co-dependence feels unnatural to me.

The only issue with not having kids is that your not passing on your genes, Your legacy, your family name. You dont have to get married maybe you can have a surrogate mother or a child outside of marriage if your really confident.
