Except he was anything but.
The exact scenario that actual MGTOW entirely avoid.

He was a funny WHINGING simp-cuck slave to a bimbo wife.

Who ever said that simp-cucks can't be funny?
So were the three stooges. Doesn't make them good role models, or "philosophers."

I admit the Three Stooges were funny, still are.

i guess in some way it showed what it can be like to be married, the show showed some negatives (and wife insults) about such a life that would be unthinkable for a show today.

Agreed that it wouldn't be possible for such a show today -- at least not in THAT form -- it could be argued that shows like "Shameless" still do so, albeit in a different form (more dramatic rather than pervasively "comedic" {i.e. no laugh track}).
Though of course the show was actually "insulting" to more than just his wife or wives/women -- essentially ALL of the characters were portrayed as being "losers" in one regard or another -- the whole thing was generally intended as a very insulting, even 'cartoonish' caricature intentionally exaggerated mis-portrayal of the "typical" middle-class, middle-america family (i.e. "flyover land" deplorables much like "The Simpsons" or again "Shameless" -- notably both of which are also located in/around Illinois).
