People ask these types of questions as if there is some kind-of formula to life. There's no formula. 2 of my 60yo mates absolutely love their wives and have great relationships, 2 of my 60yo mates have marriages hanging on by a thread, and another 3 (me included) have had shitty marriages and will never marry again.

In other words, it's a crap-shoot. So why take the risk?

I’m that age, divorced at 48 after 20 yr marriage. Some of my oldest friends are now entering their 3rd decade of marriage with university aged kids, some of the kids even getting married themselves. My friends are openly envious of my freedom and self sufficiency. I do listen to their bellyaches because I can identify with it from my own time on the plantation. I don’t really try to redpill them because it would probably end the friendship; I can see their weakness and if I opened the door to having them think in a different way they’d probably close it, & me, out, taking satisfaction in their supposed marital superiority. But as I said, the reality is... their lives are nothing but problems and they can’t see any way out. & yeah, their wives aren’t very fond of me!
