I've had a few FWBs and FBs, at some point these women start to get real feelz and thinking it's more than it is or want it to be more than it is. Based on my personal experience, I think most women go into these situations without this intention but it happens, at least a few go into it with the idea or hope that it will become a relationship.

I no longer have a FWB, and if it's not a one and done, I prefer FB, there is no friendship implied in the term. I haven't verified this yet as I haven't looked for a new FB since my last FWB situation ended.

edit; I'll add that my last FWB ended when she said "our relationship" during a break after sex before the next round which on further discussion indicated she wanted something more. I reminded her of our original agreement, I saw her once more after that then she ghosted me for a few weeks before texting me again when I didn't text her. I still haven't replied and I won't.
