Is it just me or does anyone feel like she might be getting taken advantage of? Like she is so young, 4 years younger than him, and was still in college when they got together. Right before she got to get her life started she became his full time caretaker. That’s so limiting on her life and her goals. Maybe this is not looking enough from his perspective, but I think the right thing for him to have done would have been, AT THE VERY LEAST, pay a nurse to take care of him for several years before they took the plunge and got into this extremely dependent relationship. She’s effectively stuck at this point, and he really doesn’t seem to give a shit about her goals. She supports him with all his speeches and travels, etc. what the hell is she doing with her life besides showcasing her bizarre, depressing and isolated life on YouTube for likes and views? Like she wasn’t even done with college when they moved in together, 22 at the oldest. He is completely sound of mind and had every right and reason to maintain a nurse on staff, which he has the money for, so that they could have some semblance of a normal relationship for at least a few years. This relationship reeks of 1950s sexism imo.

Not that she would do it, but she could and it's up to each guy to decide if he can live in peace with the fact that someone montly unstable holds such huge power given by the State...

She clearly has something broken upstairs, where her empathetic wire is firing 10,000 fold and possibly crossed up with her arousal one. You can tell by the way she looks at him, almost serially, and by her actions, and that she likes to lead the conversation etc. It just so happens that she's also hot. Had she been average looking or ugly, no-one would care. But it's odd because attractive women, don't act in this way, for a reason. It's not normal. There are however plenty of uber empathetic women out there - nurses and carers etc, who probably suffer the same ailment within itself to varying degrees. And yes, it is an ailment. This woman is clearly - visually so, when you watch their content - not right in the head. There is an obsession even in her gaze. She NEEDS to care and control for him, and probably takes arousal pleasure out of this. The reason she would never go for anyone else is because no-one else needs that kind of care, compassion, empathy etc, that is driving her pleasure centres.

It's interesting in a way that, it shows that women don't always care about looks, but what they do care about is what is in it for them. She NEEDS that kind of situation to pleasure her mind, so she's in like flynn. The interesting thing to suggest is that were this bloke able bodied - she would NOT be interested in him. Which goes to show how not-right in the head, SHE is.

Something is very odd about it. If you do not buy it...then people call you names, say you are jealous and do not believe interabled relationships are possible. But...I think it is either a scam or Hannah has some mental issues.

If you are married or with someone that gets hurt or sick, I can see staying and caring for them, of course. But to get into a relationship with someone who is that severely disabled makes no sense to me at all. This man cannot do anything for himself, he cannot even roll over, lift his head up, scratch an itch, take a bit of food by himself. That is severely disabled.

For those two to talk about having children is absurd. She may as well be a single mom to two. She has to care for Shane like an infant. She will mentally and physically wear out very fast.

Money? Shane has great insurance and I bet he does have provisions for at home care, he's been disabled since birth. They could have caregivers but choose not to? That is just odd. She has to run home to help him pee for heaven's sake.

Now this is my opinion from watching the videos. He is very immature. They complain people treat him like a child, but he acts like one. I have seen NO MAN about him at all, he acts very childlike. That is going to be difficult if they have kids.

Just....it just ain't right. The relationship is way too lop sided.

Wow finally found a thread that doesn't obsess over them....

I think it's all bullshit. She willingly got into a relationship with a cripple that pisses himself, has to have his ass wiped, cant eat/drink without being fed, has physical restrictions on what he can eat because the fucker cant even chew without his wrist helping his jaw (and without his 300k a year treatment of spinraza that he said he cant afford because his insurance won't cover it according to a newer video, he will be an equivalent to Stephen hawking, just a lot dumber), and I seen the video where she shows how she gives him a bath and he looks like a chewed up piece of bubblegum.

The girl is mentally ill and has some freaky fetish and getting paid for it. I'm a decent looking guy and I have to put in work to get a good looking girl that's that "loyal" and not just some random thot. Don't we all?. And this cripple is pulling solid 7 or 8s without even being able to eat pussy or wipe his own ass.

First of all, if anyone would want to believe in their story it’d be me. I’m a wheelchair user, but I happen to live in the real world. This is information I have gathered from looking into the individuals involved...I was bored. Some is simply speculation based on my own personal experiences along with evidence that anyone could look up. I have no reason to hate on anyone who’s had to face more adversity in life than I have. So, I’ve watched a number of their videos on YouTube and I think it’s staged and calculated for notoriety of the cause he wants to promote. I don’t require the type of care that this guy does but I completely understand the nature of inter-able relationships as I’ve been involved in a few myself. 1. He’s now had 3 relatively attractive and college-age girls who apparently sought him out and had no problem at all reconstructing their lives to live with, travel the country and be his full-time caregiver. Well, it takes a very nurturing, mature and selfless person to be a full-time and effective caregiver and apparently all of those young women possess those attributes? Let’s be real, most really attractive women don’t share all of those characteristics...they’re not require to, they can get by on their looks. And at the age of college students? Do they all have nursing backgrounds too? It’s just highly improbable. And, if you’re that selfless of a person why broadcast the fact that you are? That’s like announcing to everyone that you’re donating to a charity, just do it, you don’t have to show it. Unless of course, there’s something to gain from showing it. 2. According to one of their videos on (Squirmy and Grubs) they are opposed to getting outside help with the guy’s day-to-day care. But she casually mentions that she once had to leave campus just to go home and help him poop. In another instance he says that he had to hold his pee for hours waiting for her to get home. So, she selfishly wants to be his full-time caregiver? Even at the detriment of her lover/patient’s wellbeing? 3. Most sensible people that require any type of help would prefer not to be a burden in any way, definitely would not purposely want to be one. You could minimize that feeling by easing your partner into things, not make them your primary caregiver after only dating a couple of months. 4. The whole “people think my girlfriend is my nurse” title that he first promoted with his previous girlfriend (Anna Reinalda) as well as with his current one (Hannah Aylward). 5. If you look at the Facebook profile of his previous girlfriend Anna Reinalda, it says that she is interested in both men and women. 6. His current girlfriend has apparently never gotten burned out from care taking even though she went to school full time, participated in a sport at school and is his full-time caregiver all at the same time. Most college students get burned out halfway through the semester just from going to school...so, either they have to be intentionally omitting details about the additional help they get for his care (off camera) or she’s the hardest working young adult of all time. Also, a lot of family members get burned out with caring for someone with disabilities...it’s a normal thing. It seems like they’re trying to convince people that taking care of someone even in his condition isn’t too difficult (even though he can’t prepare meals by himself, pee or poop by himself, shower or even get out of bed in the morning without the help of someone else). She gets a lot of praise from subscribers. 7. The first girlfriend of his “Shannon O’Connor” used to be his “girlfriend” as well as the creative director of his Laughing at My Nightmare foundation. 8. The aforementioned Anna Reinalda still has photos of him on her instagram even years after both have moved on to other people. I don’t know many people that would keep their real ex’s (ones that romantic feelings were shared) pictures on their social media that long afterward...unless there’s an understanding with the current partner that there was some sort of agreement or agenda that’s being pushed and it was strictly a platonic situation. From the perspective of a wheelchair user, the whole thing seems fake because it’s just too unrealistic, and I think it’s a money grab. It also gives people who may be unfamiliar with physical disabilities a misrepresentation of what it takes to try to live “normally” day-to-day while having a physical disability...it’s shown to look and seem easy and fun all of the time. It appears that they are paid to act as his girlfriends to show, “hey she’s hot and she’s not my nurse..:she’s actually my girlfriend”. I think the attractiveness of each girl is done purposely to further the notion that people with disabilities can not only date but date really attractive people. Neither of them are average-looking as far as how our society would view them. People with disabilities can and should date, of course (I am one of them), but if I had to bet on it I’d say this whole thing is fake. You don’t get that lucky (dating out of your league) 3 times in a row, and with women who are not only attractive physically but are so mature well beyond their years in order to handle dating a person with disabilities and are willing to change their lives/future plans in order to date, live with, travel with and fully take care of him without there being an ulterior motive. Able-bodied men don’t even get that lucky (I was able-bodied for the first 27 years of my life) but you want me to believe that all of these unicorns who apparently don’t think and act like 99% of the women in this country or those twice their age, all sought out and chose to date this one guy who is severely disabled? Nope, sorry. The success of the blogs, books and YouTube channels dedicated to his agenda is mostly attributed to the beauty of the young women and it’s shock value. It’s all calculated, and they’re all paid to further the purpose of the message he wants people to hear. It might’ve been believable if only one of the details I mentioned were true. And if there’s only been one unicorn and not three. And if they first met in person at a library, or they attended the same high school and reconnected based on a prior friendship or common friends. But the combination of everything...it’s all too perfect of a coincidence to be completely genuine. Where are all of the girls that grew up with him, attended high school or college with him that witnessed his charm, humor and unique personality first hand but for whatever reason did not fall madly in love, uproot their lives to date, travel the world and take care of him fully? No, it’s been three gorgeous women who never knew of him prior to his story being publicized and the fame that came with it. I would also assume that if there’s a slim piece of hope that it’s real then at minimum his current girlfriend has some serious mental issue that allows her to benefit specifically from being in a relationship with someone who “needs” her fully...an over-nurturer. Someone totally dependent and someone who won’t cheat or leave her. The fact that she reached out to him and pursued a relationship (after seeing a video of his life and being made aware of his condition) and, for some reason, is so opposed to anyone else doing his care taking. So maybe they are both using each other, and together, getting over on their subscribers/supporters with their fake relationship that’s really a business partnership.
