Dr. Sherman seems to forget that women are not divine creatures who transcends human transgressions. They are human and do have a propensity towards violence like anyone else. So disagreeing with a woman and telling her that you think that she is wrong can and will illicit violent reaction. As Dr. Sherman stated, men are taught from the beginning that it is never okay to hit a woman. Woman on the other hand are not only taught that it is acceptable to hit men but are encouraged to commit violence towards them as well.
