Deep down, it’s human nature cave men survival instinct. Men take care of women, women take care of men. However, most marriages are not like this anymore. Which is why we see past this.

They have yet to learn that a man is merely an accessory to a woman. There is no true love. The moment boredom, financial issues, etc hit. They are looking for a new accessory.

They want to be with a woman. Having the feeling of knowing ( in their mind) that the female only belongs to him. That's instinctually. What they will say to you is love, conpanionship, not being alone and having someone to be around with in simple terms. They will use a lot of words but it you can break it down to those things.

They want to lock in the security of a stable future relationship - as if you can assure such a thing with a binding legal contract.

I'll never understand that either. The primary purpose of marriage is to have children. Of course women push for marriage even if they don't want kids because it's a game of cash and prizes. Not worth it in the end.
