Sunk cost fallacy is an important one to know as well, especially for MGTOW and investors.

Basically, it’s the concept of knowing when to cut losses and walk away instead of assuming you’ve spent too much (money or time or something of value) already and are afraid to lose what you’ve invested so much into already.

Fallacies only work when they are not addressed. As soon as a fallacy is identified as such, it becomes deconstructed and has no effect. This is usually when you move on to the next phase of NPC behavior - insults.

Being triggered -> Making false arguments -> Using fallacies to defend false argument -> Making insults when fallacies fail -> Finally threats of violence when all other forms of intellect are defeated.

Lol, the solipsism in this chart is palpable.

The person who made this chart is arguing against themselves and winning thus giving themselves a pat on the back.

With the exception of a few, most of the things mentioned there are easily reputable.

Using fallacies to fight an argument is never a good idea really (due to the fallacy fallacy).

You are suppose to use logical fallacies to "fight fire with fire.". Aka redirect the argument back into a logical and factual discussion... instead of the argument devolving into an uncontrollable fire burning down both sides of the forest.

Which can be done and helps a debate focus on more meaty things. But most people just use them to try to put fire out by throwing fire onto the fire.

Which just degrades the argument and makes the person who tried to put out the fire with more fire look like an idiot.

So whenever someone tries to say you are wrong because of a fallacy.

Use the cherry picking fallacy and fallacy fallacy to fight against it. They will either focus on your other arguments, or be force to use more fallacies (trapping them).

Arguments need to be about facts and logic, nobody wins if you win a fight with emotion or hypocracy.

As truth helps you far more then winning does.

Just imagine how much you suffered when you were denying the red pill to get an idea of what I mean.

I don't know why but I've literally tried to understand this chart. Either I'm terrible with debates or some of these logical fallacies seem way too complicated.

I think I'll just prefer to keep it straight with my arguments, using the knowledge I'm aware of to make conclusions, and to concede my argument when compelling evidence is presented against me.

Yeah, I'll just stick with that.

Burden of proof, bandwagon, appeal to authority, begging the question and false cause fallacies are very common from theists.

Appeal to emotion, loaded question, black or white, anecdotal, middle ground, personal incredulity are very common from women.

Strawman isn't really a fallacy when it isn't taken to the extreme. A strawman can actually help mutual understanding because you're giving the other person a chance to reformulate their statement before you internalize your assumptions about them. For example

You: "We shouldn't increase tax on gasoline."

Person: "So you think climate change is a hoax?"

You: "No, I just think it is unfair to burden the average Joe that needs his car to go to work every day."

Person: "Then we can agree that we need to look at alternatives?"

You: "Yes indeed."

The fallacy fallacy is one that no one seems to understand and instead act like "ahha sir. Ive defeated your argument" when they point out fallacies.
